NI HAO PAULETTA - MANDARIN & CANTONESE PLAYGROUP

Ni hao (Hello) International parents, how wonderful you’re raising polyglot babies/ children!
To all Chinese parents reading this (Ni hao, hen gao xing zai zhe li ren shi ni.)
I truly understand the challenges you’re facing especially you’re raising them in London where majority of nurseries, playgroups, classes speak only English!
No matter you speak or do not speak the Chinese languages but you’d like to offer your children more exposure of Chinese languages in the right setting, then this is a fantastic opportunity to join my Ni Hao Pauletta Playgroup session which we run the sessions in both Cantonese and Mandarin. I entertain babies and children with active singing, dancing and reading books in these 2 languages in a relaxing fun environment. It is my goal to see children learning a language through playing, exactly like how I am doing to my baby girl.
Learning a language should be fun and this also helps with their sociability, rhythm and motor skills and above all, they go home with a happy face :)
This is also a great occasions for you to meet other like-minded parents and we can chat everything about raising amazing polyglots.
Sessions last 30 minutes and will be translated simultaneously in English, there is no issue at all if you do not speak neither of the languages. We organise playgroup sessions on weekly basis in west London and we welcome 0-3 year old babies and children.
Note:
Parent/ caretaker's presence is mandatory.
Please arrive promptly to ensure you get a place in class.

About
My name is Pauletta Zimmermann, originally from Hong Kong. I am bilingual in both Cantonese and Mandarin. We've a 16-month-old baby girl who is half HongKongese and half German. Having good amount of exposure in Chinese culture and languages in a foreign country is not an easy task and I have been keeping up speaking and reading books to her regularly. I dearly would like to her to comfortable speaking Chinese, not only German and English. Before Lena soon forgets she is a real-deal HongKongese and comes to me say “Ich bin Deutsche, mama kein Chinesisch”, I thought I should do something now. I’m certain I am also speaking for many of the young international parents here who are also raising children in a multilingual ambience. I believe all babies nowadays will be so capable in becoming a Polyglot if we give them the right settings, hence this is why I set up this playgroup. I am very looking forward to singing and read chinese books to your children and hope to meet you guys soon. Pauletta
