Family Halloween Fun at London Zoo

Family friendly Halloween-themed activities return to ZSL London Zoo this half term (19-27 October 2019). Celebrating the more gruesome side of nature, it’s the perfect thing to do for Halloween in London with your little monsters.

Time & Location

Oct 19, 2019, 10:00 AM – Oct 27, 2019, 5:00 PM

ZSL London Zoo, Outer Cir, London NW1 4RY, UK

Creep onto one of our ‘Grim Keeper’ tours*, included as part of your ticket, and explore what happens when nature gets gruesome. You can even expect a few beastly challenges along the way – if you’re feeling brave! (recommended age 8+).

All around the Zoo our animals – from mischievous monkeys to slithering snakes – will be getting into the Halloween spirit with pumpkins filled with tasty treats to forage. Plus, join us at select animal talks and demonstrations, featuring seasonal surprises.

As well as paying a visit to your favourite Halloween animals like bats, spiders, snakes, beetles and owls, there’s a whole host of spooky treats to enjoy. Come and experience spook-tacular family fun at the Zoo this half term with our top ten Halloween activities:

1. Brave a Grim Keeper tour 2. Animal talks and demonstrations with a seasonal twist 3. Enjoy creepy crafts like bat mask making 4. Feast on The Terrace’s treat table  5. Check out new spooky Animals in Action – t’wit t’woo! 6. Spot a gila monster in the Reptile House 7. Slurp up a pumpkin latte 8. Grab a perfect pumpkin selfie at the London Zoo pumpkin patch 9. Go ‘In With the Spiders’… if you dare! 10. Watch the squirrel monkeys playing with pumpkin treats

With the B.U.G.S! building bursting with fascinating mini beasts, the Reptile House boasting lizards, snakes and real dragons, and Night Life transporting you into the rainforest at midnight, get ready to explore the weird and wonderful ways of Halloween animals. They can walk on ceilings, fly blindfolded, shoot venom from their eyes, glow in the dark and, well… did you know that sloths actually turn green

What’s more, you can sink your teeth into our new range of hearty autumnal meals as The Terrace Restaurant launches its new winter warming dishes. Sip or slurp your way through our menu of broths, brews and pumpkin lattes.
