Alleyn’s Regent’s Park

Alleyn’s Regent’s Park

Alleyn’s Regent’s Park is a co-educational prep school for children aged 4 to 11, set in a large, bright and airy 19th-century former convent on the doorstep of Regent’s Park and London Zoo. Part of the Alleyn’s Schools Group, our education is rooted in over 400 years of tradition and entrepreneurial learning. At the heart of our offer is a holistic education – living our ethos of All We Can Be – supporting pupils to be kind, happy, inspired and ready to make a positive difference in the world.

More than a place of academic achievement, Alleyn’s Regent’s Park is a nurturing community where every child is known, challenged and celebrated. Our rich curriculum is values-led, combining academic rigour with opportunities to explore big ideas, think independently and respond to real-world issues with confidence and creativity. Through AiQ (Alleyn’s Intelligence Quotient), pupils develop subject mastery alongside practical and digital fluency, while our Aspiring Minds enrichment programme stretches their thinking with talks, workshops and national competitions that ignite curiosity and lifelong passions. Guided by our ROCCK values – Respect, Opportunity, Curiosity, Courage and Kindness – every pupil is encouraged to thrive and, through exceptional 11+ preparation, move on to leading senior schools with confidence and curiosity.

Admission procedures

Reception (4+) is our first point of entry, welcoming up to 32 pupils across two classes. Selection is via observation of group and classroom activities, along with an interview with the Head. There are no written assessments at this stage.

Parents apply by completing our online registration form and paying the non-refundable £150 registration fee. We recommend that families attend one of our Open Days to experience life at the school before registering.

The same process applies for occasional entry at 5+ (Year 1) and 6+ (Year 2).

Formal assessments begin at 7+ (Year 3), our second key entry point. Applicants sit Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning assessments in school (or online for international candidates), take part in group activities, and successful candidates are invited to interview. Up to 20 additional places are available at this stage.

Occasional entry is sometimes available into Year 4.

Year 5 (9+) is our third key entry point, following the same process as Year 3. Up to 20 additional places are available.

Occasional places may also be offered into Year 6, with applicants joining their peer group for assessments and interview.

School reports and references are reviewed as part of all entry points.
