St. Mark’s Hall Nursery School

St. Mark’s Hall Nursery School

Set in beautiful spacious grounds in the heart of Primrose Hill the school benefits from its proximity to Regent’s Park, the Zoo and Primrose Hill park. The school, formally St Mark’s Square Nursery School, brings an exciting fresh approach to nursery education incorporating long trusted teaching methods with the best of modern thinking. The school year is made up of three terms each of eleven weeks with a one week break for half term. School hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 3.30pm. Children attend five days each week with two year olds attending part time and three year olds full time. Numbers of children are limited to maintain a calm environment with time for individual attention. We maintain a higher than average teacher to pupil ratio.

Admission procedures

A limited number of places become available each year in September and occasionally in the Spring. Applications are accepted from birth following a parental tour of the school and interview with the Head and Classroom Manager. Spaces are allocated and offers made following this interview. A registration fee for the waiting list is payable and, where a firm offer is made, a contract is signed and a deposit is required. Once the deposit is received a place is guaranteed. Children attend for a two/ three year programme and we do not as a rule accept children for a lessor period. We accept children from the age of two with Morning and Afternoon sessions available as well as Full time places for three year olds. Children can remain with us until the age of five. Children do not need to be toilet trained, and are not made to undergo any form of assessment. Parents or carers are asked to stay until your child is completely happy and settled. This varies in the number of days but ensures that a thorough settling in procedure is followed. The team will do all they can to support this transition working closely with you. Children on the waiting list are able to apply for our weekly Beginners Sessions. Please ask for further details.
