About

ImagineNation proudly presents - Bridget Riley, the Queen of OpArt.

"Hayward Gallery presents a major retrospective exhibition devoted to the work of celebrated British artist Bridget Riley.

The exhibition brings together the artist’s iconic black-and-white paintings of the 1960s, expansive canvases in colour, early figurative works and recent wall paintings.

Alongside Riley’s best known canvases, the exhibition will also include rarely-seen drawings, studies and preparatory materials that offer an insight into the artist’s working methods from 1947 to the present day.

Spanning 70 years of Riley’s work, this exhibition offers visitors an unparalleled opportunity to experience powerful and engaging works by one of the most important artists of our time".

The ImagineNation Experience for Children involves discussion, drawing and sticking in our unique activity book designed especially for this exhibition.

For Who? Museum Trips are designed to be enjoyed by children 5-11 years old. We can not accept any younger children to participate in our events because the length of the tour and activities involved might not be suitable.

How? Museum Trips are designed for your child to participate independently and don't require parental supervision. Adults can arrange to visit the exhibition by booking their ticket directly from the museum.
