About

Easter is coming and what better way to celebrate than to learn to bake with David Atherton, the winner of The Great British Bake Off 2019 and writer of fabulous children's cook books!

David will be teaching a class at Sarum Hall Food Studio this Easter break on Tuesday 5th April. During the class, which is aimed at children aged 7-13 years old, students will make 2 Easter inspired treats: Cheesy Bunny Biscuits and Hot Cross Hedgehogs!

All items created during this workshop will be packed up for children to take home and proudly share with their family.

This class is a collaboration between Sarum Hall Food Studio and David Atherton.

Other information

This class is suitable for children aged 7 - 13 years old.

We are strictly a no-nut school. Please speak to us about any food allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements before booking your place on this course.

Timings

  • 9.00am – arrive
  • 9.15am – Let's make cheesy bunny biscuits
  • 10am – Playtime + small snack (BYO)
  • 10.20am – Let's make hot cross hedgehogs
  • 11am – Playtime
  • 11.20am – Let's finish our hot cross hedgehogs
  • 12.00pm – Taste, pack up, get ready to go
  • 12.15pm – Finish and grown ups collect!

About the teacher

David Atherton is the winner of The Great British Bake Off 2019. David's first cookbook for children 'My First Cook Book: Bake, Make and Learn to Cook', inspired a generation of young cooks to create healthy, imaginative recipes for their friends and family. David is a food writer and an international health advisor for a charity. He has worked on health programmes around the world and never misses an opportunity to explore new food culture. David is passionate about ensuring that children grow up as food lovers and understand how to make tasty, healthy food.
