Get into the festive spirit with this family-friendly Christmas concert, and hear Reinecke’s flute sonata as well as works by Bach and Poulenc.

Enjoy a family-friendly concert with Trinity Laban Conservatoire graduates Rebecca Speller on flute and Imma Setiadi on piano. They will perform Reinecke’s flute sonata, which tells the stormy tale of the water spirit Undine, along with other popular flute and piano works by Bach and Poulenc. The concert will be followed by a Christmas-themed craft workshop for children.
Rebecca Speller is currently a NEXT artist at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in association with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG). She recently graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire achieving an MA with Distinction in flute performance. During her studies she has been grateful to receive the Help Musicians UK Postgraduate Award, Michael Hirst Award, Trinity College London Scholarship and generous support from The Stapley Trust, Oppenheim-John Downes Memorial Trust and Women’s Career Foundation. She gained her BMus degree at Newcastle University including a year spent at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Rebecca has appeared all over the UK in prestigious venues as a soloist, orchestral musician and chamber musician.
Imma Setiadi was born in Surabaya, Indonesia where she started her early training. She then received her BMus degree from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (Singapore) with Albert Tiu, her MMus (distinction) where she studied with Nigel Clayton at the Royal College of Music London, and her Doctoral degree from the RCM, with Nigel Clayton and Amanda Glauert. She is truly grateful for the support of RCM Study Award, Indonesian Beasiswa Unggulan, the Seary Charitable Trust, Talent Unlimited Charity, anonymous, and PAL charity. Since her coming to the UK, she has performed in many prestigious venues as a soloist and chamber musician such as at the Bridgewater Hall, the Purcell Room, Steinway Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, the National Gallery, Blackheath Halls, Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
