About
Celebrate Easter with Latimer House! In the Easter Holiday, the egg symbolizes the earth and celebrates the arrival of spring. This year join us from home as we use chemistry to decorate easter eggs using items you can find in your kitchen. Participants will learn three creative techniques to dye easter eggs.
Please have the following materials available:
- Hard-boiled eggs (preferably white)
- Food coloring (liquid)
- Vinegar
- Baking soda
- Paintbrushes
- A few cups
- Big lipped plate or bowl or shallow dish
- A cup of water
- Tall glass or mason jar
- Vinegar
- A cup of rice
- A resealable bag (Ziplock)
- Food coloring (liquid)
- shaving cream
- pencil or skewer
- paper towels
- droppers
Ages 5 and above, Families welcome.
