MUMISSIMA Mums Networking Event

Mumissima wants to create networking events for mums designed by other mums. Our events are designed to connect local mums and make life easier for us.

Last year as a first-time new mum, I was struggling to be a new mum, connect with other local mums and start a business. My newborn was not sleeping, networking at the babies classes was rare if not impossible, the tiredness and overwhelming thoughts were obfuscating my mind and working was impossible. Then, I realised that I couldn't do all this without a network of people and that having a community to support you is the key to raise kids and run a business. I was getting all sort of information from networking groups: getting advice on a sleep routine, contacts for sleep trainers, number of the best paediatrician in the area, stories of the other mums in the same situation. And, life, finally, got so much easier and lighter.

The events take place every second Friday of the month. Next topics:

-April, mums anxiety and how to tackle it;

-May, how to keep your under control and declutter with kids;

-June, breastfeeding, babies/kids sleeping and how to wean babies with some nutritional tips

-July, how to get in shape during and after pregnancy, and during motherhood
