About
Greater London North Scouts are sending a Unit of 45 Young People to a European Jamboree, being held in Gdansk, Poland in 2020. This is a really fantastic opportunity to meet and make friends from all over Europe, the event is also focusing heavily on empowering young people to make positive changes to their community.
We are holding a Silent Disco to raise money to support our Unit attending. To offer this out to everyone across the County we are holding it in different locations each day. There will be separate sessions aimed at under 10s and over 10s, adults and Network are also invited to join. Each session will sell soft drinks, snacks, glowsticks and glitter/UV paint face decorating.
A Silent Disco is a great event where we will have 2/3 music channels, all with different genres and music and DJs that will be competing for you to be listening to their channel. Everyone will be given headphones when they enter and will be shown how to change channels.
There are two sessions on Friday 15th November:
* 6.30pm to 7.30pm which will be aimed at Beavers, Cubs and under 10s (although Parents, siblings and Leaders are welcome to come along too!)
* 7.45pm to 9.30pm which will be aimed at Scouts, Explorers, Network and over 14s
There is a group discount available for groups of 10+.
