Week 1: Tuesday 6th - Friday 9th April

Tuesday 6th April Mighty Eggs

Brilliant Bird Nests Learn about different bird nests while building a nest of your own.

Charlie the Chicken Join this makaton story time where you will meet curious Charlie, the chicken.

Easter Egg Trees Craft-along whilst meeting the Kensington Garden chickens.

Wednesday 7th April Mini Eggs

Egg-themed Storytelling Join this story time as friendly invertebrates explore the parks habitats in search for a place to lay their eggs.

Invertebrate Egg Hunt Hunt for eggs in The LookOut’s wildlife garden in Hyde Park.

Bee-fly Egg Golf Challenge your family and friends to this simple but fun game of bee-fly golf.

More Than Bugs Trails: The Ladybird Trail Taking place along the North Flower Walk in Kensington Gardens, this short self-led trail is suitable for little legs. Discover marvellous minibeasts, sculptures and habitats along the way.

Thursday 8th April Aquatic Animals

Pond Dipping Live interactive pond dipping session discovering what lies beneath the surface of the water.

Feely Frogspawn Make your very own frogspawn from tapioca and food colouring.

Container Pond Planting Guide Create a container pond, and find out which plants to choose for sunny and shaded locations.

More Than Bugs Trails: Water Beetle Walk A gentle amble of 35 minutes around the Long Water in Kensington Gardens. Explore the role invertebrates play in the ecosystems of the Royal Parks as pollinators, recyclers, pest controllers and food for park wildlife, and discover one of the UK's rarest invertebrates, the spangled water beetle.

Friday 9th April Birds

Feeding Birds Game Learn about birds and the food they eat in this fun match game.

Be a Bird-Brain Live craft and play-along where you will make a bird hide, drum like a woodpecker and act as roving reporters for "News of the Bird".

Spring Birds in Regents Park Learn about the parks' feathered visitors returning from around the world to enjoy the milder British weather and raise their young.

More Than Bugs Trails: The Bee Trail Buzz through The Regent's Park and immerse yourself in the world of invertebrates along this 45 minute, path-based trail. The Regent's Park has a wide range of wildlife habitats for you to explore, from reedbeds to bee banks.

Week 2: Monday 12th - Friday 16th April

Monday 12th April Invertebrates

Butterfly Spotter Sheet Find and identify spring butterflies that are in the Royal Parks.

Spring Wildlife in the Royal Parks Explore the Royal Parks' spring wildlife and find out how they all rely on one another.

Dragonfly Craft Live craft-along where you will make your own dragonfly puppet.

More Than Bugs Trails: The Dragonfly Trail Visit grassland, woodland and freshwater habitats on this Hyde Park trail and look out for our invertebrate sculptures, that have been carved from fallen trees. This is our longest trail, taking around 1hr 10mins to complete.

Tuesday 13th April Flowers

Isabella Plantation Explore 40 acres of woodland garden at its most spectacular as it’s famous azaleas, rhododendrons and camellias bloom.

Cherry Blossom Painting Live paint-along where you will learn more about cherry trees and create your own cherry blossom tree finger painting.

Flower Folktales Musical storytelling about the invertebrates and flowers of the Royal Parks.

More Than Bugs Trails: The Hoverfly Hop A 40 minute self-led stroll through one of London's best-loved green spaces, St James's Park. Discover our pollinator habitats, green roof and wildlife refuges and discover some of our water-dwelling animals too.

Wednesday 14th April Gardening

Gardening for All On this month’s podcast, we talk with expert gardeners to answer your more unusual gardening queries and help you bring the beauty of spring closer to home.

Upcycled Gardening How-to guide on creating self-watering and hanging pots, plastic-free flower containers, watering can and a garden meadow out of a balcony wall.

More Than Bugs Trails: The Caterpillar Crawl This is a leisurely 40 minute self-led stroll around The Green Park. Discover the meadow, scrub, and tree habitats, and meet some of the invertebrates who live there.
