☀️ The sun has got his hat on - and we're all in need of some fun cooling down options...

Water play areas are great for the whole family and -once again- we are lucky to be boasting a few splashing choices in our fantastic child-friendly area.

Hampstead Heath

Swiss Cottage

Big square with angled 15 metre-long gentle water jets between Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre and Hampstead Theatre.

Lots of options to sit and watch the kids including grassy areas to have a picnic.

Coffee & food available inside the café of Hampstead Theatre or at Swiss Cottage Farmers Market (Wednesdays 10 - 3) or Swiss Cottage market (mostly active 10 - 5)

This ‘queen of playgrounds’ in the heart of London between Holborn and King’s Cross offers 7 acre playground and park including a large paddling pool, two zip wires and lots of different climbing frames and slides. The whole park is fenced in and there is only one small gate so its quite safe and relaxing to be able to let the children run wild.

Great opportunity to visit The Foundling Museum just opposite!

The paddling pool is due to open Saturday 17 June!

Very friendly family-run cafe http://caffetropea.london open all year ( 7am-6pm in summer) or bring a picnic!

Central London’s second largest, beautiful garden square offers a central plaza with water feature away from the roads and hustle.

Very close to the British Museum!

King’s Cross, Granary Square

1 Granary Square, N1C 4AA

Northern Line or Bus 46 to Chenies Place

Large city plaza with over 1,000 choreographed water jets/splash fountains (colorfully lit at night).

The square is surrounded by lots of benches as well as a great choice of child-friendly restaurants, a big Waitrose, an ice cream parlour and plenty of space to have a picnic. What more could you want?

London Zoo

Small fountains and water play area at the back of the zoo, close to the goat and sheep petting area.

Regular summer zoo opening times 10am-5pm (last entry - zoo closes at 6pm)

Entry £24.30 adult £18 (3-15years) but free for members (from £99 adult and £66 child p/yr)
